Matthew Hanscombe

AI & Security Architect

Matthew has a broad technical base across cybersecurity architecture, engineering and governance, with extensive experience of transformational change across finance, telecommunications and retail. His work combines threat modelling, architecture, healthy governance and stakeholder engagement to build secure-by-design systems across organisational boundaries.

His current focus is enterprise AI architecture: Compound/Agentic AI Systems, secure exploration, model and software supply chains, semantic monitoring, assurance, and the transition between managed and self-hosted AI services.

Ash has worked in technology for almost three decades across energy, finance, IoT, cloud architecture, telecommunications and government. With a strong background in Linux/Unix infrastructure, network architecture and cloud platforms, he brings detailed end-to-end knowledge from supply chain through to end user.

His approach is to solve large-scale complex problems with technologies that simplify operational complexity and reduce total cost of ownership.
